2021年9月8日 · Ortofon gives a life span of around 1000 hours for the black and bronze, but with clean records you should be able to get more than that. This certainly isn't a cost effective hobby, but for me even 1000 hours equals years of use.

Pretty good deal for US buyers with the euro tanking a bit lately, for example, pricing on the R30 version below at under $300 ...

2025年1月23日 · I have a P6 on the way and am deciding between an Ortofon 2MR Bronze or perhaps Black and the new Rega carts (5 or 7). In my brief time with an Exact (on a P3) I didn't really like it, at least not as much as the Bronze.

2021年5月3日 · You would think it would be much easier for Ortofon to give the Bronze and Black cart a silver case vs. re-doing the internals as well, but who knows. The Silver cart has fewer coils in addition to the silver compared to the Red/Blue so that tells you it's not the same. Here's what Ortofon states: Stylus 2M Silver

2018年9月6日 · I´m also a first time SPU user (Classic GM E mkII + Fidelity research FR-64S). There are other pick-ups that has more, bas, tremble and sound-stage. But they don´t have the natural unfussy signature sound of the SPU. It gets to the heart of the music like no other pick-up I have experienced (ortofon 2m black & quintet black).

And the LF tracking performance of the Audio Technica is outstanding compared to the OM line (the specifications provided by Ortofon seem "optimistic"). But for some reason I just keep coming back to the Ortofon (I use the Stylus 30). I like that sound a lot.

2022年9月19日 · There's even "Ortofon Made in Denmark" text still on the bottom, since that's part of the original mould they still use to cast the outer shells! It's the stylus part that differs. Take into consideration that with a different sylus, the output voltage can change too, since the strength of the magnet isn't equal for all the OM/Concorde styli.

2 years ago I bought an Ortofon Om10, a real disaster, After days trying to get it to track, there was a bad edge to the sound; medium level distortion from mistracking. Checking with a microscope I found my stylus was conical - not elliptical. Ortofon churn out these to the grey market. Customer service useless. by tbl_hk

2015年9月26日 · Something I've always heard about the top of Ortofon's various lines, be it the OM40, 2M black, etc is that at the top level of refinement, SRA/azimuth adjustment becomes critical. Which is why I enjoy @Gasman1003 's story about popping the bronze stylus off an old SME and getting a lot of enjoyment out of the black sans-fiddle.
