2012年5月14日 · I am having same problem 2006 4.0 auto throwing codes P0218 & P0714 hard shift from 1st to 2nd for the first couple shifts then it's fine after that till it sits for a few hours , can disconnect battery and hook back up all is good for a while use to last weeks or even months but seems to only last a day or hours now then it's back.

2022年3月30日 · 06 Overland throwing P0218 transmission over temp. checked fluid level and temp. running at 160 degrees, figure it is the temperature sensor on the valve body. Keep getting two different opinions if the sensor is serviceable or does the valve body need to be replaced? Also was told if the Sensor was bad then I would need to replace the PCM as well?

Started to pull over immediately and in a few seconds it went off. Pulled codes when I got home and it had a P0218 Eng Transmission over temp STORED. The wife has been running it in town for a few days and no further codes.
