Mar 10, 2018 · I had a CEL on about a month ago and it was a P0266 cylinder 2 contribution/balance code and then again today. I tried looking it up but didn’t come up with much. Feb 15, 2012 · Guess what? It fired right up, I literally said "EFFING Ether" twice and you gotta be kidding me. So now it's running, he could now run the CCT (Cylinder Contribution Test). When that happens it throws 5 codes. Drum roll please, P0263, P0266, P0269, P0278 and P0476. I know what they are, the crankshaft speeds isn't up to par for cylinders 1,2,3,6.

Mar 22, 2017 · Hi guys, I need some help. I'm getting an intermittent p0266 code, cylinder #2 contribution. It doesn't happen every day it mostly happens in the mornings when coming to a stop getting off the interstate. It happens just as I'm getting ready to stop, once i take off again it goes away and it usually doesn't do it again for a day or two.

Jul 12, 2009 · I was leaving my mother in-law's house yesterday, when I noticed my truck having a little more zip. I didn't think anything of it, untill I was almost home. I checked for codes with the DD. Nothing came from generic but I got 2 from Ford specific. P1000, system readiness, and a P0266 Cylinder 2 Contribution/Balance Fault.

Aug 15, 2016 · I pulled the codes and got P0266 and P0302, cyl 2 contribution and misfire which explained the change in idle I heard. I cleared the codes and started the truck again, and it popped the same codes within 30 secs. The truck was not smoking at all at idle so I was at a loss. I called the Ford dealer and got it towed in for them to look at.

Jun 18, 2012 · I towed it home and had P0266 code so I pulled the injector it was burnt pretty good and copper washer was gone so was lower oring. I got a new seal kit cleaned the injector it would run but smoke like crazy and still had code. Pulled that injector and got a new injector installed it and started it up same thing P0266 rough idle and white smoke.

Dec 27, 2018 · Now when I start the truck I get either the P0266 or the P0278 each start up. So to be clear: Start #1 P0278, Turn Off, Start #2 P0266, Turn Off, Start #3 P0278 and onward and onward. I checked the Fuel Injection Harness and I am wondering if there could be an intermittent short in it. It does have some wear spots.
