Looks like you are off-line, here is what I can say based on what you wrote. I would highly recommend getting the battery issue figured out first but if those codes remains you would need to run some circuit tests to rule out a wiring issue first, The P0826 code usually points to a shorted out switch on the shifter itself which requires replacing the assembly.

I havent had control over those for a long time.

This code P0826 indicates a problem with the Manual mode switch and or the connection to it. The mode switch is installed in CVT shift selector. I would try clearing this code first and see if it resets and if it does then you are going to need to do some testing. I have enclosed those steps for you in the link below..
