2022年3月29日 · Recently I got a service engine code P0840 : transmission fluid pressure sensor/switch circuit. I was wondering if anyone has dealt with this code before and how easy it was to fix. I have to drive home from school in a few days and the drive is around 5 hours so I want to make sure I wont be breaking down or anything.

2023年12月2日 · So today the Service Engine Soon light came on and when I ran it through my Autel device, the p0840 code came up. Reading online, this is likely a sign of CVT going bad. Most posts I've seen from people reporting it, however, indicate a vehicle already driving poorly..i.e. limp mode, but mine seems fine.

2019年9月24日 · Bought car with 165K. Had CVT trouble since 170K approximately. Changed fluid. Kept it to in-town commute,, shorter trips, lower RPMs. Recently changed fluid again. Getting codes P0745, P0840 and P0845 every time. Codes come up even before I put it in drive. TSB suggests changing valve body for P0845 and P0840.

2019年10月1日 · Replaced valve body based on TSB because I was getting P0840 and P0845. Moved a few feet barely then wouldn't move at all. You could feel it change direction when you shift from Park to Reverse to Neutral to Drive but didn't actually move. RPMs stay low unless you put it in Neutral. Put the original valve body back in and same thing. Won't move.
