Sep 17, 2010 · My 2000 fwd RX300 (145K) has a P1730 code. It drives and shifts fine and I've tested both speed sensors and they are within normal limits and so is the wiring to the ECM.

Nov 2, 2007 · Hey Bluestu, How many speed sensors are there? Do you know the Lexus part number to counter gear speed sensor that you replaced? I too had the CEL come on and the code read P1730, but the car is running no different. Thanks.

Oct 26, 2017 · Knock sensor failure causes transmission to not shift into fourth gear. That's code P0330 I think. Now my 2002 Rx 300 won't shift, but the code is P1730 for Rev sensor. Any ideas?

Jan 30, 2012 · The transmission then failed. Instead of spending $4 000 for a transmission rebuild, I got another Lexus Rx300, 2002 model. Now Advance Auto parts read the check engine light and code p1730 comes up as rev sensor. ??? What is that? Does it also inhibit shifting into fourth? Or does it actually mean Knock sensor?
