2016年10月28日 · The pump that needed to be replaced is the coolant heat recovery system pump which is located in the driver's side fender, in front of the tire, hiding behind the fender lining. If that pump was replaced but the same DTC P2601 remains, the mechanic may not have purged air out of the system.

I'm addressing the P0420 otherwise, but yesterday tried looking into the P2601 by jumpering the relay above the engine bay (right-most while looking at the row of them, hopefully this was the right one).

I'd take a quick look here before getting into any real troubleshooting. A clue that this is your issue would be reduced, random or lack of the CHS pump running at all.

Instead of trying to mess with a hybrid (which I've never worked on before), I opted to take it to the dealership. The dealership ran the code like I did and replaced the water pump for ~$500.

2010年11月17日 · DTC P2601 relates to failure of the engine coolant heat recovery pump. This pump is located near the coolant heat recovery canister hidden in the driver's side front fender. You need to remove the fender liner for access. Test the pump by applying 12VDC to the connector pins. If you don't hear the pump run, then it is dead.

The ECU has received feedback data that it interprets as "control circuit range error(s) or performance issues. Areas of interest are: CHS water pump - CHS water pump relay; Open or short in CHS water pump circuit (my emphasis!) ECM
