So, my brother's been considering replacing the entire rear axle, considering how many axle-related problems his P71 has. My question for y'all is this: will it take less work AND money to do the above axle-related repairs vs. replacing the entire rear axle, or more work AND money?

2023年8月12日 · Thanks for your replies and recommendations and just wanted to follow up. For my 2008 P74 Crown Vic I went with the Monroe P71 strut assemblies in front (from Amazon) and Monroe P71 shocks from Walmart in the back. Ride is firmer and handling is much better. Did front disc pads as well.

2007年3月13日 · The P71 does have the same basic engine as your CV with a few mods including a computer chip tune to increase horse power. The suspension is also upgraded for better handling. The Marauder is basically a CV Sport with P71 suspension, 18 inch wheels, and Mustang Cobra engine but there is a lot more to the package than I'll go into here.
