2021年9月16日 · First, there is NO Pilot Operating Handbook for a Piper PA-12. Second, the booklet that Brandsman posted a picture of is the "Operating Handbook" or "Owners Manual", or whatever. Tells you basic information on how to take care of your airplane. This document is typically NOT required to be aboard the airplane for flight ops.

2024年9月17日 · I installed Wag Aero tanks in my PA-12 in around 2015 ish. Both tanks failed at different times by splitting at weld seams within 30 hours. I still remember the avgas running down my arm on final approach. The original tanks can be soldered, and I tried, but was unsuccessful.

2024年9月17日 · "put PA-20 tanks in my 12 back in 1986 and got them field approved no problem. The 18 tank is identical except the 20 tank did not have the tube welded in for sight gages. I removed the drag/anti-drag wires in that bay and replaced them with a long 4130 strut through the tank and a shorter one to get back to the next set of drag wires.

2015年6月23日 · I have done a bunch of searching and reading. I was wondering what folks current feelings are on the gross weight increase on a PA 12. These are the facts as I understand them. It is accomplished during rebuild on new or old fuselage. 2 STC's available: one from Crosswind/Charlie Center and the other from Borer. Both have the same requirements.

2005年10月25日 · I'm in need of info. on putting a rear mount oil cooler on an O-320 installed in a PA-12. I can't find a STC from the usual folks. I know there is several out there. If anyone has a prior approved 337, I need a copy. I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

2009年4月4日 · I used the M.R.Borer STC for the extended baggage in my PA-12. I only did the upper baggage, with an access door to the outside. I skipped the lower baggage because it would have required changing the elevator controls. The compartment has a wall to separate it from the cockpit, so the baggage stays out of the way in case of a nose-over.

2020年10月19日 · Will PA-12 wings bolt on to a PA-18 fuselage? I know the angle of incidence is different, but is the difference in the wing or in the mounting points on the fuse. I’m contemplating an experimental project and have access to a set of PA-12 wings with flaps. Thanks, Dan
