PID with two heating elements and how to wire it?
2011年4月9日 · OP, I would think you could just run the SSR's with a jumper line between the two + posts from the PID, and put a toggle switch between the two SSR's so the other one is "dead" to the PID. PID + to SSR 1, Jumper to toggle switch, toggle switch to SSR 2 +.
DIY PID controller - Homebrew Talk
2021年10月13日 · You cannot control boil vigor with a PID, as it does not run with a fixed output, but rather continuously adjusts output to maintain a target temperature. You need a controller that allows you to manually set a fixed output, that gives you the desired boil vigor, since boiling happens at a fixed temp (depending on barometric pressure and liquid ...
Induction cooker and a PID - doable? - Homebrew Talk
2018年1月17日 · I'm fairly new here and have been doing a lot of reading. My next step in equipment is to use an induction cooker/hot plate and i want to control it with a PID. The cooker i'm looking at is the Avantco 3500w, 220v countertop cooker. I don't own this cooker yet, but it's the one i'm leaning toward now.

Electric HLT/BK Control Box Question - Homebrew Talk
2008年6月12日 · I'm getting ready to start my electric control Box for an e-herms system. I have purchased the Auber SYL-2362 PID with an ebay SSR to control the 5500w element in the BK. Late in my planning I decided to add a Love TS2 to do a simple on/off temp control for the 1500W element in the HLT. I have already been using a Ranco to control the HLT, and ...
RIMS tube controller build - Homebrew Talk
2014年1月17日 · In the second design, I would put switch number 2 in series with switch number 3, rather than having switch 2 control the SSR firing signal from the PID. SSR's tend to fail in the on mode, and putting switch 2 in series with switch 3 prevents a failed SSR from scorching the wort when the pump is off.

Economical PID units (i.e. InkBird) vs. "higher" end
2018年12月10日 · I'm finally adding PID control to my vessels. I'm finding inkbird kits for $35 which include the SSR, controller, probe and heat sink (although, I'll probably use a different probe and heat sink anyway). There are other cheaper units as well. I'm also looking at the ebrewsupply PID controller, which I dunno, looks neat, I guess. Just the PID is ...
Auber SYL-2362 Temperature Control Issues - Homebrew Talk
2008年6月12日 · Once you are within a degree or so, set the output to your measured 'stable temperature' output level (for me, 25%). THEN hold down SET to return to PID control mode. "Bumpless transfer" will tell the PID to use that last setting (25%) to start with and adjust itself much more sanely from there.
Simple 240V Element Controller - Homebrew Talk
2015年11月26日 · The Auber DSPR sends a signal to a solid state relay to turn on and off, so it doesn't care what voltage is going through the relay. It can be used to control 120, 240, or both depending on how you have things wired up. Since my post was at the bottom I'll add that I went to a switch and contactor instead of the rotary switch I referenced above.
