The AN/PRC-152 Multiband Handheld Radio, is a portable, compact, tactical software-defined combat-net radio manufactured by Harris Corporation. [1] It is compliant without waivers to the Joint Tactical Radio System (JTRS) Software Communications Architecture (SCA). [2][3] It has received NSA certification for the transmission of Top Secret data.

Survival radios are carried by pilots and search and rescue teams to facilitate rescue in an emergency. They are generally designed to transmit on international distress frequencies. Maritime systems have been standardized under the Global Maritime Distress Safety System.

The PRC-125 is a totally watertight, two piece design composed of a control and R/T unit connected via a 36" umbilical cable. The control unit houses a combination speaker/mic, controls for PTT, volume, and connections for the antenna and earphone.

The PRC-125 is the Navy Swimmer Radio. It provides reliable two-way communication between SAR platform and the Rescue Swimmer in the water. Operation is similar to the PRC-90. Function Switch has the following positions: Off, 243.0 MHZ Voice, 243.0 MHZ Beacon, and 282.8 Voice. It is designed for hands free operation.
