2024年1月18日 · The H31 C were postwar conversions of the H31 B. The first car was converted in 1949 and the others did not follow until 1951. A maximum of 482 were converted by June 1957. The wooden side, end and slope sheets were replaced by plate steel. The H31 C has been produced in brass by Overland.

PRR H31b & H31c The H31b and H31c were the first PRR Hoppers that Southwind Models imported. All cars except 221183 were completed on 3-6-14 using Jerry Glow custom decals.

I completed my N Scale Bluford Shops wartime emergency hopper to H31c conversion: The sides were removed and replaced with .005 clear styrene (taped to the car and scored to match the opening), “Z”’s are strip styrene offset to represent the bracing used on the prototype.
