2021年1月25日 · I think I have all of the above. The PSA PA-9 (glock mag AR), the AK-V (scorpion mag AK), and the AR-V (scorpion mag AR). The glock mag AR, benefit is obviously the billions of mags available. And the cons are they look ugly as hell and you dont get a LRHBO by default. I bought a $100 upper receiver from joebob/NFA and it added LRBHO capability.

2024年1月18日 · I bought the ARV receiver/bolt kit, and built a 16" rifle. Same bones as the 7" MP5ish gun you are looking at. Avoid the Scorpion mags in it, get the PSA AKV/ARV mags, it'll be 100%. I've heard of plenty of malfunctions with the Magpul and Scorpion mags in the the platform. And the PSA mags are really cheap, like $15.

2024年1月16日 · I built the AR-V below using their ARV builders kit. I used an Aero 9mm buffer kit, PSA LPK, PSA 2-stage, and finally a Rosco 7.5” barrel and an SWR Trident9 underneath a Midwest suppressor rail. The only problem I’ve ran in to was when using the mags as a monopod when zeroing it. Don’t do that.

The ARV platform has this advantage over every other competitor. It’s a very good firearm: from an objective standpoint, the ARV platform is as good as anything else available.

2024年5月2日 · I have an ARV. It runs great. Its not picky on ammo. I neglected mine to let it get gunked up, and it refused to malfunction. My only complain with it I guess is the bolt catch. If you bump the ass end while the bolt is locked back, it drops the bolt fairly easily. Your having a bunk hand may not work with the usual AR design, though.

2021年8月22日 · I built an upper for my PSA Glock-based lower with a Faxon barrel. While it ran great most of the time it would occasionally feed a round into the barrel face below the feed cone. It did it enough that reliability became a concern for me so I ended up sending the barrel to Rudy at Macon Armory for his feed cone treatment.
