2017年11月22日 · PCem also comes with a Configuration Manager by default, although Overdoze created an 86Box Configuration Manager that can work for 86Box. Q: I get "No ROMs detected!" when I start PCem/86Box. A: Check to make sure you have some ROMs in the roms folder of the PCem/86Box install. Refer to the readme if you need help on where to place things.

Just recently got PCem up and running on my computer thanks to some Youtube video and some tinkering around. Enjoying the shit out of old games and even some old CD Roms that i still have from my younger days. Figured I should sign up for the PCem forums if something comes up or if i want to explore PCem further.

2021年7月1日 · I do have things in my ROMs folder And when running ./pcem I get the following message Menu item not found: 1403 Menu item not found: 1404 I have tried searching online for both of these messages but most of the posts about this are in pcem-emulator.co.uk's forums where I am greeted with this message Information I'm done. This isn't fun anymore.

2018年4月20日 · Hardest part was the ROM installation, from what I recall. Eventually figured out pcxt.rom needs to go in the ~/.pcem/roms/genxt folder. (Figured that out by doing an strace, either the documentation isn't that great, or my searching skills were weak that day). 2024年1月4日 · so im using macOS 14 and I installed PCem Mac version but when I opened that it says roms cant be founded (and yes its in the roms folder) Im using 86box But VDE dosent work or Pcap so I tried installing PCem on an ARM64 Windows 10 and its working but the vm is want to die because its cant emulate good and the sound is laggy

EDIT4: Setting PCem to the settings shown in this guide causes it to not start up anymore. Just segfaults again (with the unhelpful "Shutting down Allegro due to signal #11"). Going to write off this working on Linux. EDIT5: It's the CPU dynarec. Disabling that in pcem.cfg (as I can't open the program anymore) stops the crashing.

2014年1月12日 · So, I wanted to use PCem, but I've noticed it didn't had any good hardware to emulate (ROMs) like VGA, SVGA, S3, or any good processors or machines. I wanted to use PCem for testing the betas of Windows 1.0, but because there was reaaally small selection of hardware I couldn't do it. Mainly because I want some good parameters.

2020年12月2日 · PCem is the only thing allowing people to experience the relatively unknown Star Wars Droidworks game. I’m so grateful to the devs that I was able to experience my childhood again. For anyone wondering why PCem is so important in this case, it’s because Star Wars droidworks framerate and physics was tied 100% to the CPU speed.
