Located in West Kent, Penshurst Place is just 7 miles from Royal Tunbridge Wells. It is easily accessible from Junction 5 of the M25 and is just over 1 hour from London and the Channel Tunnel.

Due to the nature of the historic Gardens and the wildfowl on the estate, no dogs are allowed past the entrance of Penshurst Place & Gardens with the exception of registered assistance dogs.

The House Penshurst Place & Gardens and the surrounding estate have stood in the historic village of Penshurst since the 14th century, when the awe-inspiring medieval Baron’s Hall was completed in 1341 as a country retreat for the Lord Mayor of London.

Wander further afield and visit the Arboretum, Trout Lakes, Lake Park and Lancup Well. At around 50 acres they make Penshurst Place and Gardens one of Britain’s most alluring and seductive spectacles, throughout the year.

Location Managers for the Harry Potter films visited Penshurst Place with a view to transforming the Baron’s Hall into the Great Hall in Hogwart’s Castle. Unfortunately it was too small, but they didn’t go away empty handed!

The Gift Shop at Penshurst Place is open year round, operating separately to the main house and grounds, the Shop is thought of as more of local boutique, providing a selection of homeware, cards, gifts, Kentish goodies and more throughout the year.
