2024年11月22日 · Originally Pentacon was the export model name for the Contax D, since the use of the name Contax had been prohibited for the East German company VEB Zeiss Ikon. The new name had been coined from Penta prism and Con tax.

2014年12月3日 · The most Pentacon brand lenses were derived from classical East-German lens constructions. When the Pentacon combinate (Pentacon group) was founded in 1968 the famous German lens maker Hugo Meyer in Görlitz (since 1952 officially "VEB Feinoptisches Werk Görlitz") was incorporated into that group.
