The AN/PEQ-6 is a laser aiming module (LAM) designed for use with the Mark 23 pistol. The device attaches via rails to the pistol, under the barrel, and creates a small laser dot very near the point of bullet impact (within certain ranges). It was developed in the 1990s under the Offensive Handgun Weapon System (OHWS) program run by USSOCOM.
