AC Delco PF63 now replaces PF63E? | BobIsTheOilGuy
2019年10月7日 · From the factory it came with a PF48 filter, which they apparently use at the factory to ease assembly line production, however GMC states that this vehicle requires the PF63E filter. There is a PF63 filter but it was recommended not to use it because of the different bypass valve pressure than the PF63E.
Fram XG10575 Good Replacement for AC Delco PF63?
2020年6月6日 · A Google search indicates that the last time that FRAM listed the bypass psi, they indicated 16psi so it may be slightly lower than the 22psi recommended by GM for the PF63E applications. The Wix WL10255 is rated for 22psi, so it meets that spec. Wix filters are typically well built and I would use one in my Chevy if I couldn't find an ACDelco ...
A/C Delco Oil Filter PF63 E? F? or just a 63? | BobIsTheOilGuy
2016年4月7日 · Link below shows difference between PF63E and PF63. I'll say up front 'my preference' would be for the classic construction PF63. That said, the newer ACDelco PF63E uses a poppet style bypass with the ecore nylon cage and the pleating looks relatively tight and uniform. No combo valve, so should be ok for it's intended oci/fci.
PF63 or PF63E New 2021 Chevy Silverado 5.3 | BobIsTheOilGuy
2004年8月30日 · I thought the PF63 and PF63E had different bypass pressure ratings, with the PF63 around 15 and PF63E around 22. If that's still the case, my 4.3 Silverado calls for the PF63E and I wouldn't use a PF63 instead to avoid bypass events and lower differential pressures.
AC Delco UPF63R | BobIsTheOilGuy
2009年7月25日 · First, the PF63e is, in theory, a adequate filter for the application. GM now lists it in their parts lookup as the replacement factory filter. However, after my last oil change, I cut the thing open and 'viola', the pleat connection was a bad glue job with it folded over on the end.
PF63E filters - BobIsTheOilGuy
2018年3月29日 · So, if I read correctly, the PF63E spec is 22 psi? If so, using the Motorcraft FL500S and Napa Gold 7502 (which is the fl500s equivalent) would be safer than using the Napa Gold 7045, which is the PF63e equivalent and has a bypass spec of only 12-15 psi. Or should I continue using any filter that crosses and not worry about the bypass spec?
Virgin AC Delco PF63E & PF63 Cut | BobIsTheOilGuy
2013年11月29日 · Thank you DirtyMoe21 for cutting these filters open so we can see the real difference between the old and new filter design. From what I can see the old PF63 seems to be better constructed with metal end caps. I don't see how AC Delco and GM are able to state that the new PF63E filter will offer better flow and better performance over the PF63.
Latest AC Delco PF63 Specs - BobIsTheOilGuy
2019年12月6日 · I did several searches and can’t come up with a prior post regarding the latest specs for the PF63. I was under the impression that Delco discontinued the PF63E and the PF64 was the replacement. Even the Delco parts lookup for my 2017 GMC 5.3 shows the PF63 currently and no longer displays the...
ACDelco PF63E vs Supertech equivalent | BobIsTheOilGuy
2004年11月21日 · One difference is the ACDelco PF63e uses a separate poppet type dome bypass. Otoh, the ST equivalent uses a nitrile combo valve, ie., bypass and adbv in one. Imo, that's the bigger deal. ACDelco bypass design is superior to the combo valve design. Isn't the ST equivalent shorter than the PF63e? x ref site says ST equivalent ST10060.
Factory PF63 vs. PF63E | BobIsTheOilGuy
2008年10月3日 · A couple of years ago I bought a case of the non E core ones off ebay, but you have to be careful because some sellers list the filters (and even have pics) as a PF63 when they are in fact a PF63E. I found out the hard way on the first batch I bought. The second time I messaged the seller before buying to double check they were what I wanted.
