The Public Financial Management System (PFMS) has evolved as a robust web-based online system designed, developed, owned and implemented by the O/o CGA. The system provides modules for end-to-end digital payments, collection of receipts, accounting, reconciliation, and Financial reporting.

It provides information across all plan schemes/ implementation agencies in the country on fund utilization leading to better monitoring, review and decision support system to enhance public accountability in the implementation of plan schemes.

PFMS has gradually improved administration and management programme, reduction of float in the system, direct payment to beneficiaries and greater transparency and accountability in the use of public funds.
