It doesn't convert rust like other products, it removes it. After cleaning up the rust I painted it with Satin Coastal Gray Rustoleum.

Naval Jelly or prep&etch by klean-strip and a good scrubbing with a scotchbrite will clean out any light pitting but at the end you need to scrub the parts good with water while the acid is still wet and thoroughly rinse it off.
