2010年2月6日 · I thought of giving my unwanted Pij eggs to my dogs as an occasional treat. I am using fake eggs, and have been throwing the real ones away. I know dogs can eat eggs, but does there happen to be any reason pij eggs in particular might be bad?

2005年2月3日 · The dr. suggested Pij was either crop bound or had sour crop. He started to check his crop very gently at which point Pij shook his head & water went everywhere, on me, the dr, the table. As the dr. took off his glasses to clean them he said, "This is great, Pij has just given us a sample of what is going on."

2008年10月14日 · Just found a pij outside who at first appeared to be eating normally but looked a little strange. I picked him up and found seeds backed up in his mouth, but no obvious canker. I could feel a huge amount of seeds backed up in his throat, so I started manipulating them out--out came no fewer than 8 whole peanuts!

2011年4月12日 · use liquid soap---soap the wings-they will dry and only the quils will be left. The bird can not fly at all. You get ready for them to fly--just give them a good washing- I use the kitchen sink-dry them the best you can with a towel and paper towels.

2004年11月20日 · Within 2 weeks after we started the treatment, Pij's seizures were reduced. By the end of 4 weeks, he was seizure free & his head was upright more than upside down. Prior to the Prednisone treatment Pij couldn't stand up straight, he was having non-stop seizures, was unable to fly or make any sounds. Today he is the picture of health.

2005年3月11日 · I took Pij back for a follow up appointment 6 weeks later & the vet was amazed at the transformation. Today, Pij is the picture of health & lives life to it's fullest. He now coos nonstop & spends as much time as he can flying around in the AZ room. This is not to say Prednisone will work for every PMV pij, but it was a Godsend in our case.
