2009年7月26日 · Great looking pipe jigs! Here is something that you might want to trywith the next batch. When we made pipe jigs we usually had a longer flatten piece at the top of the jig. If that flatten piece is 1 to 1.5 inches long you can put a a little cup in it with a ball peen hammer and even put a slight bend in the flatten end.

2008年3月13日 · How I make a pipe jig is based on this. Big bottomfish, and deepwater.-It starts with 3/4" copper pipe cut in either 9.5" or 12.5" sections. (A 9.5" section of lead-filled copper pipe weighs less than 1000 grams making it legal for use in Canadian waters. The 12.5" is reserved for the deep water spots on the US side, when required.

2008年4月20日 · the only thing I would use trebles for when hali. fishin is pipe jigs, but I would use really large trebles in the 12/0 and 14/0 size. Trebles don't always have a clean hookup and I think the fish can sometimes pry the hook out of his mouth against the other prongs on the treble or against the lure itself.

First trip out to the straits. I threw a 3 pound pipe jig over and dropped it to the bottom. I brought it up at full speed and the drag was slipping.
