PKQA, a brief questionnaire covering several core aspects of autism-related knowledge, showed acceptable psychometric properties and may be appropriate to apply to parents of children newly diagnosed as having ASD. Since this has been a relatively unexplored aspect, our findings fill a knowledge gap in this regard in China.
