AN/PRC-70 is a modern solid state radio. It is one of the first and few radios, covering as well HF as the tactical band. The radio itself alone is called RT-1133/PRC-70. It is developed as a portable radio, but can also be used as mobile set. Modes are AM, CW, SSB, FSK and from 30 to 76 MHz also FM. A fully automatic antenna tuner is built in.

2024年5月25日 · The Radio set is a lightweight transceiver designed for manpack use. It operates in the frequency range of 2 to 76 mHz in AM, CW, SSB, and FSK modes and from 30 to 76 mHz in FM mode. The radio set has a long range communications capability up to 2500 miles. The 30 to 76 mHz SSB mode offers flexibility for setting up communication nets and links.
Set AN/PRC-70. Equipment description, installation instructions, and maintenance duties for the operator are included in the manual. Operating and maintenance instructions for the auxiliary equipment used with the AN/PRC-70 are contained in separate technical manuals. Refer to appendix A for a listing of these manuals. 1-2.

1990年10月15日 · The AN/PRC-70 provides amplitude modulated-single sideband (AM-SSB) and FM over the frequency range from 2 to 80 MHz. The AN/PRC-70 subscriber must contact a SINCGARS net on its cue frequency but is fully interoperable with the IH FR.

ASMRB / PRC 70 Radio
It's used to recharge military PRC-70 batteries (but not Morrow Project batteries) and to operate various military radios without batteries from an external 115 or 230 volt AC power source (frequency may be 50, 60, or 400 Hz). The output is 12 to 16 volts DC, or 24 to 32 volts DC (depending on how a switch and some knobs are set).
