mCpdT and UAdT - Chemical process engineering | Eng-Tips
2008年6月6日 · Now I used Q - mCpdT equation to find out the amount of power required. here is the calculation M = mass of vessel content. I assumed to be water for the calculation purpose. Working volume is going to be 20 L = M = 20 Kg Cp = I used Cp of water at 40 C found from
Water Source Heat Pump Boiler - Eng-Tips
2003年4月8日 · Q = mCpdT 1 Here m is mass flow rate of water, Cp is specific heat and dT 1 is difference between entering and leaving temperatures of hot water. (here you have to calculate mass flow rate of water required by using UAdT m formula used for heat exchangers.
District Cooling - water requirements 2 - Eng-Tips
2003年3月12日 · Q = mCpdT or 175850 kW = m x 4.182kJ/kg 0 C x 5 0 C Therefore, m = 8410kg/s or 30276 m 3 /hr The specific heat of saline water is lower than potable water and density of saline water is higher than potable water.
Cooling capacity of chiller and heat load calculation
2005年6月4日 · Now I used Q - mCpdT equation to find out the amount of power required. here is the calculation M = mass of vessel content. I assumed to be water for the calculation purpose. Working volume is going to be 20 L = M = 20 Kg Cp = I used Cp of water at 40 C found from
Cooling calculation - HVAC/R engineering | Eng-Tips
2007年4月3日 · 2. You will get heat load in kW when you use the formula mCpdT using the units of kg/s for mass flow rate, kJ/kg 0 C for specific heat and 0 C for temperature difference. So, kg/sxkJ/kg 0 Cx 0 C gives you kJ/s or kW. 1.2kg/m 3 is the density of standard air. 3. Generally, yes. 4. Yes, if you have your motor and fan in the air path.
Calculating Heat Load for Cooling Tower... - Pump engineering
2002年6月26日 · Use the formula Q = mCpdT. (excuse me all. I know you already did it ) But Iam getting 15,474,921.97 Btu ...
Specific heat of Isoprene 1 - Eng-Tips
2005年7月13日 · The area of engineering is no less susceptible to colloquial misuse (leading to accepted use). If we look at languages (english in particular) colloquialisms are the major evolutionary force. I would argue that the term Cp (as in the equation Q=mCpDT) has become widely referred to as 'specific heat' (at least in my part of the world).
Energy usage calculations of heat exchanger - Eng-Tips
2009年6月21日 · Letting the system stabilise and then run for an hour, if I use Q=mCpDT to calc the energy given to the air crossing the heat ex it is always much higher than the experimental reading I take from the energy used by the water heater. I thought it would be the other way around! I'm pretty sure my flow rates are correct. Any ideas? Many thanks.
Urgent advise in heat transfer fluids. - Eng-Tips
2002年6月8日 · Q_max = C_min * (T_hot - T_cold) Where: C_min = lower value of the product of the mass flow and the specific heat. (C_hot or C_cold) T_hot = hot fluid in T_cold = cold fluid in. Eff = Q_actual/Q_max The bigger C_min the greater the maximum heat transfer. If the new fluid is the maximum, the equations used to calculate Eff uses C_min/C_max.
Equation from Btu/ft/hr to Temperature Lloss 1 - Eng-Tips
2003年7月28日 · If Q is the heat loss from 3E or whatever program, then for a single phase liquid, the temperature drop can be estimated from: Q = mCpdT where m is the mass flow rate Cp is the heat capacity dT is the temperature drop.
