Guidelines and mathematical models are used to ensure the establishment and use of the knowledge on the subject in an independent and integrated way [7].

This article focuses on the application of QbD for pharmaceutical product development. Application of QbD approach in pharmaceutical product development can lead to robust formulations and high success rate in regulatory approvals. QbD involves the use of multivariate statistics and design of experiments technique. [5]

In this study, a basic knowledge of QbD, its application and effectiveness during drug development will be discussed. Our results suggest that a QbD for drug development can reduce risk to patients, improve drug quality, and continuously produce superior quality drug products.
