2023年10月10日 · Enter qdc and the 8SL. qdc is probably most well-known for their former flagship, the Anole VX, regarded frequently as the king of detail retrieval. I did listen to the VX, but as I am somewhat treble sensitive, it did not align with my taste.

2022年3月27日 · Vs QDC Gemini The QDC Gemini has been my reference for a perfectly implemented iem. The Anole VX, especially with all the switches off, sounds very similar to the Gemini. The fit is near identical too. The Anole has a slight extension and detail retrieval, when compared to the Gemini. The AnoleVX feels like a nice improvement in those areas.

It has the best soundstage and imaging of the 3 8 series. 8SH is like 8SL with less bass, more upper mids. It is thinner sounding and vocals are more forward and can be shrill compared to 8SL.

2016年4月6日 · Following up to this, I have finally A/Bed 8SL and 8CL with same cable, same source. Some differences: 8SL has better imaging (8CL is bit blurry), deeper staging (more layered vs more flattened and in your face in 8CL), less warmth, less bassy, more lower treble/upper mids. 8SL has that snappiness in the instruments and extra crispiness in the vocals.
