I'm a 4-th year PhD student in Operations Research and Information Engineering at Cornell University. I'm fortunate to be advised by Ziv Scully and work with Alexander Terenin, Peter Frazier, Raul Astudillo, and Su Jia.

My research interests are 3D Perception, Computer Vision, and Machine Learning, and I publish extensively in venues and journals such as CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, RA-L, TMM, IJCV, etc. My research goal is to build intelligent systems which are able to achieve an effective and efficient perception and understanding of 3D scenes.

I am currently a lecturer in the School of Computer Science at the University of Leeds. Before joining Leeds, I was a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Oxford, where I worked in the Cyber-Physical Systems Group under the supervision of Prof. Niki Trigoni and Prof. Andrew Markham.

Qian Xie is currently a Research Associate in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Oxford from August 2021. He works in the Cyber-Physical Systems Group under the supervision of Prof. Niki Trigoni and Andrew Markham. Prior to Oxford, he obtained his PhD degree in 2021 from China and was supervised by Prof. Jun Wang.

Dr. Qian Xie comes from Chengdu, China, and attended Sichuan University earning a DDS and PhD in 2005. Xie was conferred the Young Investigator Award from the American Association of Dental Research and also was honored for her poster on Geriatric Oral Science at the International Association for Dental Research meeting in Miami in 2009.

Dr. Xie has a broad background in oral science and clinical dentistry, with specific training and expertise in oral microbiology research and clinic experience in endodontics. Her research background includes caries research, oral biofilm and endodontic irrigation.
