BMW is committed to the iconic boxer – out of conviction. The 1802 ccm two-cylinder boxer engine of the R 18 is the boxer with the most displacement that we have ever built. It delivers its maximum torque of 120 lb-ft at 3,000 rpm. At 4,750 rpm, the “Big Boxer” delivers 91 hp.

The power output is 91 hp (68 kW) at 4,750 rpm and a maximum torque of 158 N⋅m (117 lbf⋅ft) at 3,000 rpm, whereby in the range 2,000–4,000 rpm there is always more than 150 N⋅m (110 lbf⋅ft).

2025年1月27日 · Power from the 1802cc air/oil-cooled boxer twin remains at 91 hp. The revised BMW R 18 now has a more contemporary and dynamic appearance thanks to newly designed front and rear fenders along with an 18-inch rear wheel (previously 16-inch). The wheels are also optionally available in a Contrast Cut design.

The peak output is 67 kW (91 hp) at 4 750 rpm. From 2,000 to 4,000 rpm, over 150 Nm of torque is available at all times, and this elemental pulling power is combined with a full, resonant sound. Double-loop steel tube frame and rear swingarm with enclosed axle drive in rigid-frame look.
