
R36 (New York City Subway car) - Wikipedia
The R36 was a New York City Subway car model built by the St. Louis Car Company from 1963 to 1964. The cars are a "follow-up" or supplemental stock to the A Division's R33s, which some of the cars closely resemble. A total of 424 cars were built, arranged in pairs.

The R-12, ordered from American Car & Foundry in 1948, was the first "IRT" sized car based on this new design, shorter, narrower, and with straight longitudinal seats and one less door pair per side compared to the R-10. There were 100 of these cars and another 150 nearly identical twins ordered under contract R-14, also from ACF, in 1949.

Was there a difference between R-33ML and R-36 ML?
2009年5月26日 · Was there any distinction whatsoever, be it pre-GOH or post-GOH, between these two car orders? What set apart the 34 ML R-36s from the something-hundred-strong ML R-33? Perhaps floor paneling, or interior lighting? Does anyone know? Also, I know that the ML R-33s made their final run on April 14th, 2003.

2018年8月6日 · Courtesy of Mudwrestle, we now have access to the IRT fleet encompassing contracts R12 to R36WF. I have taken the liberty, with his permission, to sort through the downloads, standardize the trains with proper performance physics, add a few minor sounds, standardize the cabs, and generate consists.
