R5-D4, also referred to as R5 (Arfive) and called "Red" by Luke Skywalker, was a red and white-striped R5 astromech droid owned by a group of Jawas on Tatooine in the early days of the Galactic Civil War.

A red astromech droid, R5-D4 thought he'd found a home when the Jawas sold him to Owen Lars, along with the protocol droid C-3PO. But R5's motivator blew as he rolled away from the sandcrawler, forcing the Jawas to take him back in exchange for R2-D2.

R5-D4 is a fictional robot and a minor character from the Star Wars multimedia franchise. He was briefly seen in Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope in 1977. He was the droid that the Jawas first sold to Owen Lars before malfunctioning, forcing Lars to purchase R2-D2 instead.
