The R62 is a New York City Subway car model built between 1983 and 1985 by Kawasaki Heavy Industries in Kobe, Japan, for the A Division. A total of 325 cars were built, originally as single units. When the reliability of the fleet improved, they were converted to five-car sets.

2021年6月2日 · What are the differences between the R62/R62A and R68/R68A? They look identical to me. The R62s are from Kawasaki and tend to have rollsigns go straight across while the R62As were built by Bombardier and its rollsigns are stacked. With the R68s, they’re from Westinghouse, Jeumont Schneider & Alstom numbered 2500 and up.
