2022年1月3日 · It's many years now but I once tried the R7-240 GPU and it just wouldn't work in a Hackintosh with acceleration. (It isn't one that has ever been supported as you know). So spoofing 0x683D would be the correct thing to do as the R7-250X was the closest supported - not even the plain R7-250. At the time I finally moved over to Nvidia instead.

2020年1月11日 · Fiji is also natively supported in Catalina without much issue but we cannot guarantee the success of R5 and R7 cards due to not having many reports of success soon them. Also, be wary that differing from the reference design of these cards have many more issues that require a lot of work to get them to run properly. R7 240(Requires fakeID)

2010年7月6日 · Note on Radeon HD 7000 / R7 / R9 cards Chameleon/Chimera currently has compatibility issues with those cards. There are some workarounds such as moving the bootloader to the EFI partition and/or using the Intel iGPU for booting. In my opinion using Clover is the best and cleanest way since it will get you also some other benefits.

2022年1月9日 · Online I found that the R7 250 should have Metal support. After install monterey and patching the card, I still have no Metal support. My screen is tearing as I drag windows around, and the launchpad is very slow. I do have QE, but no CI. Any help?
