Number 8 Squadron (sometimes written as No. VIII Squadron) is a squadron of the Royal Air Force. It is based at RAF Lossiemouth, Scotland and is expected to take delivery of the Boeing E-7 Wedgetail AEW1 during 2025. The Wedgetail is the replacement for the Boeing E-3D Sentry which the squadron operated from until 1991 to 2021.

VIII Squadron was relocated to RAF Lossiemouth, from RAF Waddington after the retirement of the E-3D Sentry AEW Mk1 in 2021. The Squadron will be taking delivery of the E-7 Wedgetail AEW Mk1 in 2024. Aircraft flown have included the Vincent, Liberator, Hunter FGA9, Shackleton AEW MK 2 and the E-3D Sentry AEW MK 1.
