2009年1月18日 · I don't have a problem with the 4WD term used by Toyota. There are no exact rules stating what 4WD, AWD, 4x4, or Quatro are supposed to mean. Some are trademarks. 4WD sounds most generic of them. True, RAV4's system should be explained as electronic, part-time, on-demand, light duty 4 wheel drive, but most people don't care.

2011年6月24日 · Hello everyone. First time poster here. I just purchased a used 2006 Rav4 V6 4wd with 100 000 km, and I absolutely love it! We recently had a snowstorm here in Montreal, and I drove my Rav4 though some pretty deep snow on the way home from work. The following night, the temperature dropped to -20! Now I'm assuming the snow under my Rav4 froze.

2020年11月7日 · Toyota used the 4WD tag on every RAV4 generations, but they have a very different ''all wheel drive'' system! Many vehicles that use the same 2006+ system have an AWD logo. According to my personnel definition; only the RAV4.1 equipped with the manual transmission should have the 4WD tag, because of it's possibility to really lock the center diff.
