Rc3 och Rc6 hade utväxling för högre hastigheter, sth 160 km/h. Övriga Rc har sth 135 km/h. Vid leverans hade samtliga Rc ett orange färgschema med vit dekor. SJ började införa ett blått färgschema 1989, som efter hand målades på många lok. Österrikiska statsjärnvägarna tog emot tio lok motsvarande Rc2 i början av 1970-talet, littera 1043.
