RMTD riders have a new way to purchase and Transfer fares. Anyone with a smart phone can download the new Token Transit app from either Google Play Store or the App Store. Once downloaded, a few simple steps are all it takes to purchase fares from your phone. When ready to use the fare, click on the pass on your phone.

Rochester Medical Transportation provides non emergency medical transportation for clients who are ambulatory, use a wheelchair or must travel by stretcher. We are available for both local and long distance trips. Now provides services Rochester and Buffalo Areas.

The current regulations permit bus drivers a 30-minute break after 5.5 hours behind the wheel which is frequently shortened or prevented altogether by congestion or other factors beyond the drivers’ control. The Bill also sets out the need for reforms of mandatory driver rest breaks and for any reforms not to leave bus drivers out of pocket.

In March 2021, the Government published ‘Bus Back Better’4 its first National Bus Strategy for England outside London, with the aim of getting more people to travel by bus, eventually exceeding pre-Covid levels of bus patronage, by making buses ‘a practical and attractive alternative to the car for more people’.
