RPM ("Revoluções por Minuto", "Revolutions per Minute", in Brazilian Portuguese) was a Brazilian pop rock band. It was formed in 1983 by Paulo Ricardo (vocal/bass), Luiz Schiavon (keyboards), Fernando Deluqui (guitar) and Paulo Pagni (drums). RPM played soft techno-pop with strong, paradoxical influences from progressive rock and European synthpop.

RPM was an American band who had released two albums during the 1980s. RPM's first album was a self-titled album released by EMI America Records in 1982 [2] and included the AOR hit "A Legend Never Dies". [1] Eventually, the band was invited to perform for KLOL's "Rockfest" at the Astrodome Complex in Houston, Texas. [1]

The Story
The RPM Band was co-founded in 1979 by Steve Block and Bill Pickering. Soon thereafter John Silva, Bob Moya and finally Mark Hanson joined up to form the nucleus of RPM. Steve Cardinale on sound, Dave Severson on lights and Chris Stearns managing the stage rounded out the band.
