The Pilatus PC-21 is a turboprop -powered advanced trainer with a stepped tandem cockpit. It is manufactured by Pilatus Aircraft of Switzerland. In November 1997 Pilatus flew a modified PC-7 Mk.II in order to test improvements for a prospective next generation turboprop trainer.

The PC-21 is powered by a P&W PT6A-68B turboprop engine rated at 193kW with a five-blade graphite propeller.

The Pilatus PC-21 is the world's most advanced pilot training aircraft. The PC-21 is based at RAAF Base East Sale in Victoria and RAAF Base Pearce in Western Australia. 2015年2月23日 · Pilatus Aircraft has shipped another PC-21 expanded envelope trainer aircraft off its final assembly line for the Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF). The aircraft represents the 100th turboprop trainer PC-21 to be rolled off the company’s final assembly line in Switzerland, and an overall 1000th aircraft to have been manufactured to date by Pilatus.
