To keep previous designations of Rsg1.a1 in Post 90 and Rsg1.a3 in WBDC 336, we herein designate the gene in PI 499276 and PI 566459 as Rsg1.a2. Currently, Rsg1.a1 is the only greenbug resistance gene deployed in barley cultivars, while breeding lines carrying Rsg2.a1 have been recently released (Mornhinweg et al., 2018).
