Jul 26, 2024 · RE4 Remake is an outstanding remake of an outstanding game. However, RE4 is where the series ventured off into action shooter territory. For me, the original trilogy (1/2/3) will always be my favorites. RE2 remake is an action shooter with survival horror elements thought.

Mar 29, 2023 · 4 is just good from start to finish, and it's a lot better value for money. It's not really a survival horror game, just a third-person shooter with horror themes. It's not nearly as unique and innovative as RE1/2 were (and the remake managed to recapture that magic).

Apr 10, 2023 · Both are excellent, but RE4 Remake is drawing from better source material (I mean, original RE4 is the best game ever) and is just a much more robust and massive game than RE2, so definitely RE4 Remake. RE2's story and characters are way better though, and Mr. X is amazing too.
