2018年1月23日 · The prevailing advice on various forums was that the latest Marlins were improved over the garbage that has been produced since Freedom Arms Group had taken over, but the only way to ensure a satisfactory Remlin was to inspect it in person first and pick the nicest one out of the litter. Not an option around here.

2018年1月14日 · Henry's are great, if you like the "load from the front" tube. Great fit and finish and worth the extra cost over the modern Remlin. Two years ago I found an almost new 1894 Marlin in 357Mag, from the 1980's. Been in a closest for 30 years, untouched. After close inspection, I paid $900 for it and it was worth every penny.
What's the cut off date for pre-Remington Marlin...
2014年2月24日 · I bought a remlin 1895 45-70 guide gun last year. Fit and finish was good, not like a Henry but good. cleaned it and found some sharp spots in the feed action. Brought it to a old well established real gun shop, that was a Marlin wty dealer. 30 mins. from home. After the gun was cleaned up. I had them do a cow- boy action job. Wow what a sweet gun.

I know there are several sources for older Marlin parts that might help you through this. I also know you don't want to spend lots of money overcoming new gun ...
