Expand Disk Management. see if it can be seen here. If it does show here, chances are it doesn't have a drive letter assigned. If this is the case, right click on the drive, select "Change drive Letter...', and assign a drive letter to it.

2015年12月2日 · Windows recognizes the existence of the drive. When I attempt to open it, I can hear the drive work for a second or two (though it doesn't spin). Thereafter I am confronted with the message "please insert a disc into drive E". Then it opens the tray. I am using Windows 10 on a notebook and I have changed the drive letter to others and back.

When trying to back up data on drive E -something I have done for years-, I'm notified that no device is available. Drive E is not even listed as a device on my computer. Drive H appears and works fine but no drive E.
