Riesling is not underrated within the context of winemakers, somms, sales people, etc. We love Riesling and we understand its ability to convey time and place in a way other varietals fall short. Within the context of the greater wine-buying public Riesling generally is underrated. I attribute that more to ignorance than anything else.

2023年7月11日 · I like the DRY Riesling. Lower RS than their regular Riesling. For $10, pretty decent stuff. High acidity that I crave with nice lemon, citrusy, green apple on the palate. It’s not going to blow your mind, but on a hot summer day, nice to have a crisp/refreshing glass. My score:88. If that means anything lol

2022年8月14日 · Right now for dry Riesling Klaus Peter Keller and Philipp Wittmann are probably the top producers in Germany. For sweet Riesling – besides Egon Müller – JJ Prüm is the biggest name in the game. There are plenty of other great producers but as far as I can see those are the names most sought after in the German market.
