The Dayi river is located in the Volta Region, east of the Volta Lake. The river runs for the Akwapim mountains along the Ghana-Togo border to the Volta Lake (Figure 1). The catchment is a flat valley surrounded by mountain ranges with height from 300 to 1000 m. The length of the valley is about 60 km and its largest width is about 20 km.
