However, a falling tree I assume does not have to apply for a permit. You can deny these facts but the tree roots will not be deterred.

2009年4月25日 · Once you pump the tank, and pop the cover on the tank, it may be possible to see with a flashlight if roots have in fact entered your septic tank through joints or otherwise. Most probably, you problem is in the field, which is best inspected by finding the distribution box, and determing the elevation of liquid in the box.

Do a spot treatment (As was suggested by sewer inspector). Clear out roots here at B, seal the connection here? (which I am not sure how to seal, yet). Cost roughly $300 or less.

If they are large and several will be cut through maybe redirect project to avoid severe cutting. Hope things work out. Remember root heave in the future as sand based bricks will lift easily if roots get underneath.

Once you get it under a root, give the rod a good push upward - the leverage should pull the root out.

2022年12月7日 · PVC with glued joints are typically immune to tree roots.The clay pipe you show in your picture is definitely one where tree roots typically do infiltrate, if there are trees near enough to the pipe. Most places, having a main sewer of that length snaked with root cutter would run at least 3 times the $200 you paid.

2024年11月28日 · Just dug a bit, and the tank has a 4" solid PVC pipe, about 8' coming out, and it joins a 4" flex black perforated pipe, which of course drains the fluid. Man, at that junction is a massive knot of tree roots. Sheesh. Who knows how bad it is.
