2023年12月4日 · Trees and roots grow fast so the repair timeline will be constant not just every 5 or 10 years. Roots are the stabilizers of the tree. Removing them endangers you and your property. However, a falling tree I assume does not have to apply for a permit. You can deny these facts but the tree roots will not be deterred.

2009年4月25日 · Once you pump the tank, and pop the cover on the tank, it may be possible to see with a flashlight if roots have in fact entered your septic tank through joints or otherwise. Most probably, you problem is in the field, which is best inspected by finding the distribution box, and determing the elevation of liquid in the box.

Do a spot treatment (As was suggested by sewer inspector). Clear out roots here at B, seal the connection here? (which I am not sure how to seal, yet). Cost roughly $300 or less.

2020年10月23日 · Look at the roots that will be effected. If they are large, but only one will be excavated, should not be a problem. If they are large and several will be cut through maybe redirect project to avoid severe cutting. Hope things work out. Remember root heave in the future as sand based bricks will lift easily if roots get underneath.

2025年3月26日 · It has a bunch of roots spreading through the whole backyard. To add a drainage pipes outlet and anchoring rod is located right under the tree. Upon checking historical aerial images it seems that the tree was planted around 10 years ago.

2012年3月14日 · Water the soil around the stumps really well, then get a straight rock bar (basically a long, heavy steel rod, can get them at the box stores) and start stabbing it under the surface roots. Once you get it under a root, give the rod a good push upward - the leverage should pull the root out.

Most places, having a main sewer of that length snaked with root cutter would run at least 3 times the $200 you paid.

2008年6月22日 · The problem is the walkway from the gate to the concrete steps. This area is shaded on the left by a very old Magnolia tree with large roots, many that have risen above ground. On the right is a large old Pecan tree that has roots above ground but not as many. There are old square concrete stepping stones with pebbles embedded as a walkway.

2010年4月24日 · The roots weren't that deep, maybe a foot or so. There was one or two heavy ones that would travel out horizontally. Those are the ones I tried to find with the maddock and chop through them, and then give them a big yank. 2024年11月28日 · Just dug a bit, and the tank has a 4" solid PVC pipe, about 8' coming out, and it joins a 4" flex black perforated pipe, which of course drains the fluid. Man, at that junction is a massive knot of tree roots. Sheesh. Who knows how bad it is.
