Oy W. Rosenlew Ab was a Finnish multi-industrial company that operated between 1853 and 1987. It was one of the largest industrial companies in Finland. The production facilities were located mainly in Pori. [1]

Oy W. Rosenlew Ab (lausunta ruots. [ ruːsːenleːv ]) oli vuonna 1853 Porissa [ 1 ] perustettu monialainen perheyritys, jonka toiminnot on myyty eri yrityksille 1900-luvun loppupuolella. Rosenlew harjoitti historiansa aikana saha-, pakkaus-, metalli- ja kemiallista metsäteollisuutta.

Rosenlew Museum is in Aittaluoto, Pori, next to a traditional industrial area, within a former state granary warehouse built in 1860s. Rosenlew Museum presents and preserves the industrial heritage of Satakunta.

The museum building is the state’s granary completed in the 1860s, preserved due to its cultural and historical value. The basic exhibition of the Rosenlew Museum showcases the history and production of the Rosenlew company.

In 1852, the last and most devastating fire in Pori's history destroys 75 percent of the residential area. This is where, one year later, the story of W. Rosenlew & Co. takes off, quickly becoming the region's most important employer and one of Finland's largest companies. As usual in the region, it initially relied mainly on the sawmill industry.
