2023年8月8日 · We’ve been told that there will be 60 to 65 Regional Processing & Delivery Centers (RPDCs); the composite list has 56 RPDCs. The Postal Service has indicated that there will be 180 to 200 Local Processing Centers (LPCs); the composite list has 151 of them.

2023年8月6日 · The Postal Service knows where all 60 RPDCs will be located, but they’re rolling them out in stages, notifying the unions and management associations on the schedule required by contracts. It will probably take several more months before the full list is made public.

2023年3月30日 · The Postal Service is in the process of creating sixty large, multi-functional mega-plants called Regional Processing & Distribution Centers. The first of them may go live as early as this summer. It’s been known for several months that three of the first RPDCs would be located in newly leased facilities in Charlotte, Indianapolis, and Atlanta.

The Postal Service is reminding customers that metallic mercury and devices containing metallic mercury are always prohibited in the mail stream. This includes antique items such as thermometers, barometers, blood pressure monitors and similar devices.

2023年8月7日 · The Postal Service has notified stakeholders about the locations of seven Regional Processing and Distribution Centers (RPDCs). That’s in addition to the 12 locations previously identified.

The Regional Processing and Distribution Center is a 1 million square foot USPS processing center building. There are four associated Local Processing Centers in the region comprised of repurposed existing facilities. The RPDC Region is centered in Palmetto, Georgia.

As previously informed, the Postal Service plans to establish Regional Processing Distribution Centers (RPDCs) and Local Processing Centers (LPCs). RPDCs will primarily handle mail processing for outgoing mail and LPCs will primarily handle mail processing for incoming mail.
