Mar 31, 2010 · I really like the P89. Amongst Ruger's semi-auto pistols, the P89's and P90's are the ones that I really like. Just not too long ago, I was in the market for a metal-framed 9 mm. I was looking for the P89 but could not locate one. Been looking around for 3 weeks, I got tired and just bought a Beretta 92 FS instead.
Looking at a P89 . Any opinions good or bad?? - Ruger Forum
Mar 1, 2013 · The P89 tends to be a vastly underrated pistol. All are quite good in their own right; however, in my opinion the most desirable ones are the later-production ones, featuring the final version of the safety levers (which with their longer shelf and different shelf angle are significantly more ergonomic than the ones used on the P85/P85MkII and early P89s), and having the end …
P89 And +P+ Ammo - Ruger Forum
May 20, 2018 · My P89 was manufactured in Nov 1993. Anyway, I have some factory Speer 115 +P+ laying around and I wanted to try it in the P89. I called Ruger and their tech representative recommended against +P+, but oddly, Ruger's FAQ section on their webpage says any Ruger 9mm can handle +P+.

Feb 13, 2011 · I've had my P89 for 3 weeks now, and had no trouble with it until today. I went to the range with a couple friends, and between the 3 of us we put 150 rounds through the P89. I fired the first shot, and the gun failed to extract the used brass. I cleared it, …

Spring Advice on P89 - Ruger Forum
Sep 26, 2018 · The OEM recoil spring on the P85/P89 is designed to be a lifetime spring, which translates into at least a 20K round count. I've generally had good results with Wolff springs, with the exception of some recoil springs that I had for my .40 FN/Browning Hi-Power, which I do not believe were at the poundage required.
P89 confusion - Ruger Forum
Jul 26, 2016 · P89's are all marked on the slide p89. The only true way is to have the original case from ruger, that will be marked 89x, with caliber listing, and matching serial number, or possibly by doing a serial number search. Its not uncommon to find a p89 with an extra barrel for the 30 luger, however its more common to find a true set.
