There's no real rhyme or reason to any of it - as the "only rule" suggests, people often just post random files they have saved. By content, it so happens to have turned out as a chaotic meme subreddit that's somewhat more left-leaning and progressive than most, which loves to complain about other subreddits and, more than anything, itself.
